About the Role:

The Speech Language Pathology Specialist will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and counseling patients with speech, language, swallowing, or hearing disorders in accordance with professional and Methodist Healthcare standards of treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs initial patient assessment on assigned patients.
  • Implements treatment activities.
  • Provides ongoing patient assessment through observation of patient and records. Reports findings in a timely fashion.
  • Identifies patient specific Speech Rehabilitation learning needs and provides appropriate education.
  • Demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities for self-development and enhancement of professional competency.
  • Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Speech Pathologist Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Communications Disorders and Sciences certification.
