The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable automations and front-end applications using cutting-edge technologies.

As a key member of our operations team, you'll work closely with business and technical staff to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software application-related problems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest level of service and reliability for our users.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and reliable automations and front-end applications using technologies such as JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, React, REST, PowerShell, etc.
  • Interface closely with the business and technical staff on the team during all phases of the project, including unit and system testing, integration and UAT testing, culminating with implementation checkout and post-implementation support.
  • Perform data quality checks and validations, and handle data anomalies and issues.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software application-related problems.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources and formats, such as relational databases, APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, etc.
  • Manage job and project requirements to ensure projects are completed on time, in scope, within budget, with minimal defects.
  • Accountable for all aspects of testing (e.g., testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production and UAT defects are realized.
  • Translate business requirements to software specifications and requirements.
  • Provide industry knowledge, experience, and best practices to help the team stay ahead of the curve in keeping our technology stack cutting-edge.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Experience in developing and working with software technologies, such as JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, SQL, GitHub, Git Bash, Oracle SQL Developer, Visual Studio Code, etc.
  • Experience utilizing JIRA for feature creation, dashboard management, etc.
  • Experience solving business problems that involve systems and process changes.
  • Experience sourcing, analyzing, and using data to solve problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Eager to learn new skills and technologies, and willing to take on challenges.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on JavaScript, PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to generate new ideas.
  • Ability to act independently, take initiative, and drive tasks and issues to resolution.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though it depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location-based pay ranges are as follows:

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, certifications, and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
