Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to join our team at Menards. As an Industrial Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, including conveyors, robotics, and automatic guided vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maintain equipment efficiency.
- Install new equipment and perform welding and metal fabrication of parts as needed.
- Perform repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds for the Distribution Center.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and practices.
- Ability to work with electrical and hydraulic systems, including 3-phase AC and DC electrical testing.
- Experience with conveyor maintenance and repair, variable frequency drives, and motor soft starters.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and schematic reading.
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
