Job Title: iSeries Developer

We are seeking an experienced iSeries Developer to join our team at Preferred Risk Insurance Services. As an iSeries Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop iSeries code supporting various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, creating functional specifications for applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and coordinate with development team members on development and QA tasks.
  • Implement and maintain development standards and deployment processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in full lifecycle delivery of complex systems, including requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant development environments, protocols, and programming languages associated with iSeries, including RPG, CL, SQL, COBOL, and Java.
  • Understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance principles and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
