Auto Body Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team at IM Autohaus. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for examining damaged vehicles and assisting in the repair planning process during disassembly.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine damaged vehicle and assist in the repair planning process during disassembly
  • Assist in the decision on repair vs. replace considering safety, OEM standards and company guidelines
  • Work with others on vehicle repair status
  • Perform quality repairs while utilizing manufacturer repair procedures
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components, window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle
  • Repair damage according to manufacturer procedures and company standards
  • Properly mask & protect any areas adjacent to panel(s) to be repaired or replaced
  • Mask any body openings during the repair process to ensure the vehicle remains clean and unaffected
  • Wrap and Store parts on carts and/or overhead storage areas to eliminate potential damage and unneeded cost
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license
