Lead Endoscopy Tech Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Endoscopy Tech to join our team at Los Gatos Surgical Center. As a key member of our endoscopy unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and observation in an ambulatory setting, while also acting as a preceptor for other Endoscopy Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the care of patients undergoing Endoscopy procedures
  • Assist with Endoscopy Scheduling
  • Demonstrate knowledge related to the maintenance, cleanliness, and sterilization of instruments and equipment
  • Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure the availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
  • Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
  • 2 years' experience in an acute setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
  • Endoscopy Reprocessing Certification
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment, online certification not acceptable
