Rail Operations Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Rail Operations Specialist to join our team at A.P. Møller - Maersk A/S. As a key member of our Landside Transportation Rail Execution group, you will be responsible for driving efficient and cost-effective operations within our intermodal rail network.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the movement of rail cargo to ensure timely and safe delivery
- Monitor cargo within the rail network to prevent delays or cost increases
- Build strong relationships with assigned rail vendors to drive accountability and control costs
- Subject matter expert on vendor network, capabilities, and agreements
- Use data to measure adherence to performance indicators and identify problem areas
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation and/or logistics, preferably associated with rail
- Strong interpersonal and management skills, supporting corporate policy and objectives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications in a networked environment
