Mountain View, California, United States PetSmart Full time

PET HOTEL TEAM MEMBER

ABOUT OUR FACILITY:

At PetSmart, we foster a community dedicated to the well-being of pets. As a Pet Hotel Team Member, your role will be to ensure that pets receive exceptional care and affection during their stay. You will engage with pet owners to understand their pets' unique traits and create a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for their time with us. Our facilities offer various shifts, including early mornings, daytime, evenings, and overnight hours.

ABOUT OUR STAFF:

In a facility as extensive as ours, collaboration is essential for smooth operations. As a PetSmart associate, you may receive training in multiple areas:

  • Customer Interaction: You will be the friendly face welcoming pets and making a positive first impression in our Pet Hotels. You'll guide pet owners on the diverse services we provide to tailor a unique experience for their pets.
  • Animal Care: Here, work and play go hand in hand. You will engage directly with pets—playing with them during Doggie Day Camp, ensuring they get ample exercise, and making sure they are well-fed. Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities, and we maintain these standards throughout the day.

ABOUT YOUR PROFESSIONAL PATH:

While we support pets at every stage of their lives, we are committed to your growth at every stage of your career. With PetSmart, you will have opportunities to:

  • Gain experience across different business units—from the Pet Hotel to retail and grooming.
  • Enhance your leadership capabilities as a Pet Hotel Assistant Manager or Retail Store Department Manager.
  • Take on the challenge of launching a new hotel or revitalizing an underperforming location.
  • Transfer to any of our numerous locations nationwide, noting that not all locations feature Pet Hotels.

THE HEARTWARMING EXPERIENCES:

While we have outlined job responsibilities, the most rewarding aspects of working at PetSmart extend beyond this description:

  • It's the joy of helping a child select their very first pet.
  • It's the satisfaction of assisting a pet owner in finding the right food for their furry friend.
  • It's the pride in giving a pet a fresh look in our grooming salons.
  • It's the happiness of reuniting a pet with their family after a delightful stay.
  • It's the celebration of special moments like birthdays, graduations, or adoptions.
  • It's the small gestures that contribute to the significant needs of pets.

At PetSmart, we are more than just a workplace; we are a community united by our passion for pets.

This job summary is designed to convey the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this role. It is not intended to encompass all duties and responsibilities. A detailed job description will be provided upon hiring.

The pay range for this position in California is between $16.00 and $28.09 per hour, with the exact rate determined by location, position, and experience. PetSmart ensures compliance with minimum wage laws and offers benefits as outlined.
