Occupational Therapy Assistant Role

Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide objective assessments and comprehensive treatment programs for patients of all age ranges. You will assist with initial assessments, document patient care, and administer modalities and exercises according to departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Administer modalities and exercises to promote patient recovery
  • Participate in promoting education within the department
  • Demonstrate knowledge of special needs and behaviors of specific age groups

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
  • Licensure: Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure in state of practice
  • Experience: One year experience preferred, but new graduates considered
  • Certifications: BLS certified
