Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas.
About the Role:This is a senior clinician position responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Speech Language Pathology. The successful candidate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct Speech Language Pathology services to patients in accordance with standards of practice.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including assessments, progress notes, and education forms.
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, family, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective discharge planning.
- Train and mentor new staff therapists, students, and rehabilitation aides.
- Assist in developing, interpreting, and reviewing policies and procedures of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.
- At least 3 years of previous Speech Language Pathology experience required.
- Acute care experience within a hospital setting preferred.
- License to practice Speech Language in the state of Texas required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA required.
