Junior Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our Finance and Operations Management Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform weekly bank statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and prepare journal entries as needed.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including annual audits.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger, prepaid expenses, miscellaneous receivables, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain fixed assets and depreciation systems to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly state sales tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support other accounting tasks and projects as assigned by the Finance and Operations Management Team.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in an accounting or finance department is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for accounting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
