Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily to join our team. As a dedicated driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods from one location to another
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading of freight as needed
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with a valid endorsement for the type of cargo being hauled
  • At least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including a drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
