Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Mary's General Hospital. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the peri-operative setting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and direct and guide OR technicians and other personnel.
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing and work with other departments to provide a continuum of care.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
  • Act as a resource for other personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
