Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services across multiple locations. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will be responsible for supervising a team of ultrasound technologists, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of ultrasound technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Perform and document quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with DPH and ACR guidelines.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Oversee accreditation and state inspection processes to ensure our department meets the highest standards.
  • Ultrasound Exams and Record-Keeping: Perform ultrasound exams as needed and maintain accurate records of all examinations.
  • Compliance and Credentials: Monitor compliance with recommendations for follow-up studies, maintain pathological results from biopsies, and ensure accurate technologist and radiologist credentials.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Graduate of an AMA-accredited ultrasound program or equivalent, certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), and BLS (Basic Life Support) certified.
  • Experience: 3+ years of ultrasound experience, including breast tech experience, and competent to perform ultrasound exams on newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional Certifications: Breast Ultrasound Certification and 1+ years of supervisory experience.
