Worship Ministry Leader

First Nazarene Church is a vibrant and growing community that seeks to reach and impact its local community. With a rich history dating back to 1904, the church has adapted to its post-modern culture to effectively reach its target audience. In the last two years, the church has experienced a 20% growth by successfully engaging young families through its NazPreschool, Nazarene Recreation, NazStudents, and NazKids ministries.

First Nazarene's mission is to know God and serve others. The church is at a critical juncture, seeking to continue its momentum in reaching those far from God while discipling its congregation to be deeper and closer to Jesus.

The Worship/Creative Director will lead weekend services to help all people know God and serve others, thinking through the lens of someone who is new to church and far from God. This role will oversee the worship planning process, create, plan, and implement worship experiences, and lead the Worship Team. The ideal candidate will have strong creative, musical, and vocal talent, as well as proven administration and communication skills.

• Lead weekend services to help all people know God and serve others
• Lead the worship planning process to create, plan, and implement worship experiences
• Oversee recruiting, training, onboarding, scheduling, development, and care of the Worship Team
• Work closely with the online and tech leader to implement and ensure excellence

• Oversee communications, social media, or another ministry area based on skill set and/or experience

• Ability to lead well vocally
• Clearly articulate and comfortable on stage
• Creative and able to plan worship services using experiential elements
• Magnetic leader who can lead the existing team well and draw new team members
• Commitment to pray for the church, co-workers, and ministry
• Commitment to leading yourself and your family well
• Call to worship ministry, pastoring, shepherding, and discipling the team
• Strong creative, musical, and vocal talent
• Proven administration and communication skills
• Solid experience and ability in training and developing volunteers
• Commitment to live the mission/core values of First Nazarene and living out a biblical lifestyle
• Commitment to lead by example, giving of time, talent, and treasures
• Commitment to be a collaborative team player
