This position performs basic to complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment. The ideal candidate will have a proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance checks on fuel, power train, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure peak performance, safety, and longevity of the equipment.
- Participate in Service training programs to develop skills and knowledge of Deere products.
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Maintain the condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures and participate in safety meetings and training.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Good math skills.
- Secondary education or training in heavy equipment mechanics that includes electronics and hydraulics is beneficial.
- 5 years of experience repairing agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment, John Deere specifics, preferred.
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
The working environment will require the employee to frequently work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibrations.
