We're a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive work environment. Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join us as a Medical Assistant - Administrative Assistant.

This role involves supporting both clinical and administrative tasks, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient preparation, including taking vital signs and updating patient records.
  • Administer basic clinical procedures, such as preparing examination rooms and sterilizing instruments.
  • Provide patients with instructions regarding medications, follow-ups, and lifestyle guidelines as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for patient care.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Handle front-desk tasks, including greeting patients, answering phones, and managing appointment schedules.
  • Process and update electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Coordinate referrals, lab work, and other tasks ensuring timely communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Contribute to billing, insurance verification, and clerical duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field advantageous.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Medical Assistance and/or administrative roles in healthcare settings.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in EHR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic office equipment.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and professional approach in patient interactions.
