Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in planning and delivering nursing care to patients requiring long-term and rehabilitative services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and sound nursing judgment.
- Conduct assessments, develop plans, and evaluate the nursing care provided to patients in need of long-term or rehabilitation services.
- Deliver nursing care tailored to the specific needs of patients requiring extended or rehabilitative support.
- Implement and assess the effectiveness of the patient care plan.
- Supervise and direct the care provided by other nursing staff.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of care standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of documentation requirements.
- Ensure proficiency in the setup, maintenance, and operation of medical equipment.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all patient rights regulations.
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers as necessary.
- Exhibit professionalism in alignment with unit and facility policies.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of one year of experience in medical/surgical nursing within an acute care or long-term care environment is preferred.
- Possession of a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Reliable transportation is required.
