Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care at NorthPointe Family Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist physicians with examinations and procedures, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient flow to minimize delays and optimize provider time
- Prepare patient rooms, ensuring a clean and organized environment
- Obtain vital signs, reason for visit, and medication list from patients
- Assist medical providers with examinations and procedures
- Schedule outpatient tests and procedures, adhering to referral processes
- Update patient demographics and immunization forms as needed
- Administer immunizations and medications as directed by medical providers
- Perform patient call processing and other administrative tasks as needed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Current listing on the Nebraska Medication Aide registry
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
