About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the MGH Complicated Pancreatitis Treatment Center (CPTC). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with sequelae of pancreatitis, working closely with our GI and CPTC team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care to patients in the outpatient setting, including discharge telemedicine visits and in-person or virtual appointments.
  • Manage tube feeds and titrate to resumption of oral intake, as well as triage and manage outpatient urgent needs.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the GI and CPTC team to ensure seamless care coordination and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate patients, order tests, procedures, and imaging, and follow up on results and document details in the Epic medical record system.
  • Prescribe medications as needed by patient condition and deliver patient care instructions and document in Epic Wrap Up section as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Board certification by appropriate NP or PA organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including operating systems, word processing, electronic mail, Internet, and other office management systems.
