Job Title: School Licensed Practical NurseJob Summary

BlazerJobs is seeking an experienced School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide healthcare support to students in an educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of state and federal regulations regarding student health and school policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer first aid, medication, and medical care to students in accordance with individual health plans and district policies.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic illnesses or special medical needs.
  • Conduct routine health assessments, including vision, hearing, and immunization compliance checks.
  • Manage student health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Provide health education and counseling to students, staff, and families on topics such as disease prevention, hygiene, and wellness.
  • Respond to emergency situations, offering immediate care and coordinating with local healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external healthcare providers to promote a healthy and safe school environment.
Qualifications
  • Active Wisconsin LPN License in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (required).
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations regarding student health and school policies.
  • Prior experience in pediatric care or a school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative school environment.
