We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineering Specialist to join our team at Toyota Boshoku America. As a key member of our production engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes, procedures, and techniques to improve overall efficiency, product quality, productivity, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage project budgets, including capital and expense plans, and equipment utilization studies.
- Plan and implement process and production preparation plans for new automotive products, including equipment installation, training, and handover to manufacturing teams.
- Coordinate equipment modifications, including scheduling, part procurement, advanced production planning, maintenance requests, and troubleshooting.
- Research and develop new manufacturing methods and techniques to optimize manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Prepare and track countermeasures against quality, safety, and productivity problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Greater than four (4) years of relevant experience in production engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of Toyota systems and terminology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with Japanese language skills a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with moderate noise levels. Travel up to 30% may be required.
Physical DemandsThe team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods and may be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
