Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care and education based on individual needs. This role involves managing individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and primary nursing principles in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide quality care.
  • Develop and communicate a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with the patient and their significant other, to address all identified needs.
  • Implement medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for patient care.
  • Evaluate patient responses and reassess care provided to meet patient and family needs and ensure overall quality of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided to ensure integration of information for the healthcare team.
  • Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the department to ensure unique client needs are addressed.
  • Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure, and pursue professional growth and development.
Requirements

Education
  • Technical Diploma/Certificate in Nursing or
  • Associates Degree in Nursing or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida or eligible compact state
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
