Overview:

Sirius Technical Services, Inc. is seeking skilled Aerospace Electrician/Mechanics for a contract-to-direct-hire opportunity. This role is essential for ensuring the operational integrity of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance in compliance with FAA approved data and uphold high standards of workmanship.
  • Prioritize safety of flight in the production of airworthy products.
  • Perform routine and specialized maintenance inspections to avert failures in aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Execute comprehensive operational checks on navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
  • Fabricate wiring harnesses and install or modify avionic and electrical systems.
  • Assess components for repair or replacement, determining necessary repair strategies and parts.
  • Adhere to approved maintenance procedures, utilizing internal guidelines and FAA technical data.
  • Conduct serviceability tests on repaired components using specified test equipment.
  • Complete work package documentation with appropriate sign-offs upon task completion.
  • Install avionic equipment and interpret wiring diagrams, ensuring cable integrity and proper assembly.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components using hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Install electrical and electronic components in aircraft utilizing various tools.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical/electronics with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Prior experience in avionics and aircraft maintenance is essential.
  • Familiarity with turbo prop aircraft is advantageous.
  • Proficient in interpreting avionic/electrical wiring diagrams and harness fabrication.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical/electronic components and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to inspect and install digital avionics equipment.
  • Must possess good visual acuity and the ability to work in close quarters.
  • Must be able to lift or assist in lifting up to 50 lbs.

Additional Information:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers, talk, or hear. A high degree of precision is required when working with minimum tolerances. The noise level may be elevated at times. Proficiency in reading and writing in English is necessary to understand manuals and technical information.


Certifications:
  • FAA certification with a current Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic license is preferred.
  • FCC license is a plus but not required.
