Blowout Prevention Specialist

Job Overview

Graco Oilfield Service is seeking a skilled Blowout Prevention Specialist to join our team. This specialized role requires expertise in installing and field repairing blowout preventers to minimize downtime and maximize utilization.

Responsibilities

• Servicing blowout preventers, pack offs, reel swivels, lubricators, iron and downhole tools.
• Examine, repair, test, and maintain products at the rig site or in the shop.
• Advise company representatives on repair or replacement options and costs of products.
• Performing and documenting all pressure tests for these components after service.
• Obtaining and maintaining an inventory of expendable materials and parts for these items.
• Provide field service and customer support, including equipment removal, tear down, troubleshoot, evaluate, repair, test, and install.
• Loading and unloading material for repair projects.
• Ability to communicate with clients, supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the BOP system to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in safety meetings and drills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years' experience working with servicing BOPs and/or downhole tools.
• Experience in managing expendable materials inventory.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs and pass the work steps physical.
• Good knowledge of BOP systems and drilling operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Salary Estimate

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
