Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Part-time 3rd Shift Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at Protective Security Services. As a security officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets.

The ideal candidate will have a valid armed/unarmed security officer license and previous experience in law enforcement or military. Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices is also essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective conflict management are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide unarmed security services to ensure the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets.
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and take appropriate action, including contacting law enforcement if necessary.
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, bags, and packages to prevent the introduction of prohibited items.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of all security-related incidents and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid armed/unarmed security officer license.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement or military highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective conflict management.
  • Ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment effectively.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and strategies.
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

This position requires working in a high-stress environment that may involve exposure to potentially dangerous situations. The successful candidate must be able to maintain composure under pressure and act decisively when necessary.
