The primary role of the Personal Lines Account Manager is to fulfill the comprehensive insurance requirements of our clientele. This position demands the delivery of prompt, precise, and professional service to both clients and company personnel, aimed at sustaining and expanding our personal lines portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:Client Service:
- Manage intricate accounts effectively.
- Process renewal and modification requests with a focus on Personal Lines Insurance Risk Management.
- Draft annual review letters, providing clients with recommendations based on an analysis of their insurance needs.
- Assist clients in reporting claims.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in the Applied EPIC system.
Client Retention:
- Strive to achieve the agency's retention goal of 95% by proactively marketing renewals, identifying gaps or new discounts, and following up on billing notices and cancellations.
Account Expansion:
- Proactively solicit and process additional lines of coverage for both new and existing accounts.
- Provide basic information on all personal lines of insurance and guide clients accordingly.
Collaboration:
- Maintain courteous and effective relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, and other business contacts.
- Share knowledge and skills with team members.
Professional Development:
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology to enhance knowledge and performance.
- Utilize effective communication skills to provide information and guidance, aligning with the agency's business objectives.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- College degree with a minimum of 3 years of insurance experience or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Possession of a valid Property Casualty Broker-Agent license.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to explain complex issues and interpret detailed information.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and their applications.
- Familiarity with insurance markets and references.
- Ability to execute complex tasks involving various concrete and abstract variables.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift or pull up to 15 pounds occasionally.
