Key Responsibilities
The following outlines the primary duties expected of the Environmental Services Associate:
- Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, which includes tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, bed maintenance, and the proper disposal of waste.
- Maintain cleanliness in discharge areas, medical wards, utility spaces, kitchens, treatment rooms, operating theaters, offices, supply rooms, and restrooms, following established infection control protocols.
- Ensure isolation rooms are cleaned and disinfected in accordance with hospital policies.
- Perform general cleaning duties in public spaces, including hallways, offices, elevators, and stairwells.
- Comply with all departmental sanitation standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic devices such as pagers and radios relevant to housekeeping tasks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and work under time constraints.
