Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Halifax Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering instruction and supporting student success in our College Transfer Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver course syllabi, outlines, and lesson plans for assigned curriculum courses.
  • Design and implement lectures, classroom activities, laboratory exercises, and hands-on activities to engage students and promote learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress, administer tests and evaluations, and provide feedback on assignments and exercises.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and scholastic performance.
  • Stay current with programs, trends, and developments in the field of expertise and contribute to the College's Quality Enhancement Plan.
Requirements
  • Masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the desired teaching discipline.
  • Online teaching experience is beneficial.
  • All degrees must be from accredited institutions.
