Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team at Rapides Trauma and Critical Care. As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories
  • Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, and prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Answer phone calls and screen referrals to the practice
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or one year of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred
