Position Overview:
As a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children aged 0 to 13 years through specialized therapeutic interventions. This position offers an opportunity to join a collaborative multidisciplinary team focused on pediatric care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric patients referred for occupational therapy.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician recommendations.
3. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding evaluation outcomes and treatment objectives.
4. Engage children and their caregivers in therapy sessions to promote active participation.
5. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring adherence to established care standards.
6. Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals during case conferences and program planning.
7. Provide training and educational presentations for staff, patients, and families when appropriate.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all patient documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to departmental standards and insurance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid California State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, with pediatric experience preferred.
