Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the daily production agenda as outlined by supervisory personnel.
- Perform tasks related to the production of concrete panels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Install reinforcement materials as required.
- Pour and finish concrete surfaces.
- Remove panels upon completion of the curing process.
- Repair and patch panels as necessary.
- Ensure a safe and efficient work environment through continuous housekeeping efforts.
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including upkeep of tools.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to optimize labor and material usage.
- Support the identification of production variances.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives.
- Promote quality standards at the source of production.
- Take responsibility for tools and machinery in your designated area.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate specialized equipment featuring a large auger and detachable funnel.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure readiness for production.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards with tools and equipment.
- Assist in various yard operations during non-pouring periods.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Achieve certification on various equipment types as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Complete necessary safety training and maintain documentation.
- Understand and interpret business documents and safety guidelines.
- Support organizational goals and safety standards.
- Learn and promote compliance with company safety policies.
- Contribute to PDM's objectives of cost efficiency and high-quality production.
- Focus on enhancing productivity while managing material costs and maintaining quality.
- Assist in fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement and Accountability on the shop floor.
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe behaviors immediately.
- Report all incidents to management and complete necessary documentation.
- Ensure daily compliance with 5S standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of work areas with supervisory staff.
- Engage in safety training and programs.
- Understand and comply with company safety training policies.
- Strive for minimal quality variance in production.
- Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge and Skills: Experience in the precast industry or construction is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to achieve certification on various equipment within 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 75 lbs, crawling, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
