Position: Elderly Care Assistant
Objective: To deliver compassionate support to residents while working under the guidance of nursing professionals and fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
Primary Duties:
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities
- Monitor vital signs, document observations, and communicate any changes in residents' health status
- Support residents during meal preparation and provide assistance post-meal
- Ensure the confidentiality of resident information and respect their rights
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents
- Conduct light housekeeping and serve meals
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Engage in training sessions and team meetings
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High School diploma preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
- Completion of a training program (CNA certification preferred)
- Experience in geriatric care is advantageous
- CPR certification is mandatory
- Basic knowledge of first aid and resident care practices
- Demonstrated compassion towards the elderly
- Physical and mental capability to assist residents effectively
