Job Summary:

The Experienced Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, trucks, and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities at Vail Resorts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate all equipment used by the Mt. Ops team, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Monitor equipment and address any issues promptly, communicating with Vehicle Maintenance as needed.
  • Perform physical labor, including maintenance of signs, repairs, and general maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, taking directions and contributing to the success of Mountain operations.
  • Accurately troubleshoot equipment problems and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • At least 1-year experience operating heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Class A or B CDL License required for this position.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work extended hours outdoors in an alpine environment.
