We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at UC Davis Health System. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of x-ray equipment, Dexa equipment, and auxiliary equipment to provide diagnostic images for diagnostic interpretations by a radiologist.
  • Provide technical knowledge and/or coordinates and monitors the delivery of radiological services for adult and pediatric outpatients.
  • Ensure the quality of work performed is approved or reviewed by the quality control technologist, chief technologist or radiologist.
  • Comply and adhere to department protocols, UCDH Policies and Procedures, Department of Radiology Policies and Procedures and other applicable work rules and regulations.
  • Act with initiative and responsibility to achieve maximum imaging quality.
  • Interact with radiologists, clinicians and peers in a cooperative, harmonious manner for maximum effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • CA Fluoroscopic Permit required 6 months after hire date.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification or UC Davis Health CPR
  • Knowledge and ability to operate imaging equipment to provide quality images.
  • Ability to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades as the radiological field advances.
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
  • Ability to administer CPR.
  • Ability to display common sense and good judgement in following rules, protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to function and remain calm under multiple direction and/or fluctuations of work volume.
  • Ability to handle a high patient volume in a high-pressure department with constantly changing priorities.

  • ARRT preferred
Work Environment

This is a critical position, as defined by UC policy and local procedures, and as such, employment is contingent upon successful completion of background check(s), including but not limited to criminal record history background check(s). This is a position with direct access to or responsibility for controlled substances, high risk hazardous chemicals, biological or radioactive/nuclear materials. This position is designated as a mandated reporter under CANRA and UC policy, and employment is contingent on compliance with applicable policies, procedures and training requirements.
