Job Summary

At Select Specialty Hospital - Tulsa, we are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by continuously monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to abnormal rhythms and artifacts.
  • Verify correct identification of basic and lethal rhythms, and maintain EKG monitor alarms.
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
  • Ability to complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date.
