Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Senior PsychCare in Austin, Texas.
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will provide fully integrative behavioral health services to individuals in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities across Texas.
Our team is highly specialized, with Board Certified Geriatric Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Psychologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
We practice continuity of care, rather than a triage approach, and offer telehealth services when appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide brief cognitive and emotional assessments, psychotropic medication management, and gradual dosage reductions.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff to provide quality patient care.
- Work in a field setting, rather than an office setting, with the flexibility to mold your schedule to best fit your lifestyle.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings, regular treatment team meetings, and in-services/community education.

Requirements:
- Experience prescribing and/or recommending psychotropic medications in a psychiatric setting.
