Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Forest City. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents. This includes assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support. The successful candidate will also be responsible for collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens, gathering vital signs, and providing housekeeping and laundry services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
  • Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
