Job Summary

The Infusion Medical Assistant will work closely with our Infusion Registered Nurses to provide exceptional patient care and support in our Infusion suites. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and sign them in according to established protocols
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed
  • Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals and administration
  • Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaires with patients
  • Obtain patient vitals prior to, during, and after infusion
  • Draw labs as needed
  • Administer injections as requested
  • Assist with removal and discontinuation of IVs
  • Maintain a sterile environment at all times
  • Maintain drug inventory and medical supply stock
  • Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
  • Respond to requests for information and ensure patient confidentiality
  • Ensure the Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat, and clean
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant degree or certificate from an accredited facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and dependability
  • Good computer skills
