Job Summary

Wells Concrete is seeking a skilled Rebar Laborer to join our team. As a Rebar Laborer, you will play a critical role in the construction process, handling and assembling rebar and mesh cages with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rebar Handling and Assembly: Safely handle and assemble rebar and mesh cages to meet project specifications.
  • Tool Operation: Operate a variety of tools, including rebar tie guns, rebar sheers, and rebar/mesh benders, to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and ensure accurate rebar placement.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload rebar for vendors, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Measurement and Calculation: Accurately read tape measures and perform basic math calculations to ensure rebar is placed correctly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and ensuring good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Previous rebar/construction experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This is an indoor/outdoor work environment, exposing you to various weather conditions, including sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.

You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety, including steel-toe laced-up ankle work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, back brace, forearm shields, and safety vests.
