Retail Product Specialist

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Product Specialist to join our team at Daily Thread. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for creating a seamless customer experience and contributing to the success of our store. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about fashion and customer service to join our team and make a meaningful contribution to our mission.
Estimated Salary:$42,000 - $52,000 per year based on experience.
About the Role:In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of product knowledge and staying up-to-date on the latest fashion trends. You will work closely with our sales team to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive and inclusive store environment. You will also be responsible for processing POS transactions, handling returns, and stockroom tasks as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- Follow and achieve department's sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- 'Go the extra mile' to drive sales
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
- Actively seek out customers in store
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases
- Cross sell products
- Handle returns of merchandise
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
- Build productive trust relationships with customers
- Stock and process shipment as needed
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative, or similar role
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Proficiency in English
- Basic Math skills
- Hands-on experience with POS transactions
- Familiarity with inventory procedures
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
- Availability to work flexible shifts, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds when merchandising the sales floor. Comfortable with using ladders or stairs
