Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse specializing in Telemetry for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.
Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Telemetry
- Discipline: RN

- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
Unit Details: 3 Pavilion / 3 T - Pulmonary & Observation
- Bed Capacity: 32
- Nurse/Patient Ratios: 1:06
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Respiratory conditions, Medical issues, Adult and geriatric populations. Trachs - non-ventilated.
- Experience Required: Med-Surg/Telemetry/Critical Drips/Trach Care, Peritoneal Dialysis preferred. MS/Tele nurses with a solid cardiac background.
Responsibilities:
- RNs are required to titrate drips.
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Heparin, Cardizem (up to 15mg/hr), Lasix, Dopamine (low dose renal perfusion), Amiodarone.
- Monitor Techs are available 24/7; Charge RNs will review strips each shift.
Scheduling & Requirements:
- Shifts: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm - 7:15 am. Scheduling is managed by the Director/Floor Manager, with block scheduling available based on unit needs.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, with a set rotation.
- Holiday Requirement: Rotation with core staff, preferences considered.
Floating Requirements: If not needed on the designated unit, RNs may be required to float to other Med-Surg units or the Emergency Department.
Dress Code: RNs/LPNs must wear Navy scrubs; C.N.As/Monitor Techs in Dark Grey/Pewter. Scrubs must be solid colors without embroidery or patterns. Closed-toed shoes are mandatory.
Orientation: Includes general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, and training with a preceptor.
