Job Overview

Schneider is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truckload Driver Coach to join our team. As a Driver Coach, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and onboarding new driver associates while they are in training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure new drivers meet Schneider's high standards.
  • Provide hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck, covering critical components of training, including safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback to new drivers, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for success.
  • Collaborate with other training professionals to ensure consistency and quality in training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve training programs and driver performance.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • DOT physical card.
  • Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
  • Ability to coach and mentor effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
