Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation:
    • Prepare the interventional radiology suite by ensuring all necessary equipment, sterile instruments, and supplies are available and functioning correctly.
    • Review patient information, medical history, and previous imaging studies to ensure accurate procedure planning and protocols.
    • Verify patient identity, allergies, and consent forms before procedures begin.
  • Assisting During Procedures:
    • Collaborate with interventional radiologists and other medical professionals to perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures.
    • Operate advanced imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy units and ultrasound machines, to guide physicians during procedures.
    • Maintain a sterile environment and assist with instrument setup and handling.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort:
    • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, positioning patients correctly for optimal images while minimizing risk.
    • Monitor vital signs, report any changes to the medical team, and take precautions to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
  • Post-Procedure Care:
    • Monitor patients post-procedure for potential complications, provide care instructions, and facilitate transfer to recovery or other units as needed.
    • Collaborate with the medical team to review procedures, discuss outcomes, and plan follow-up care.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Maintain and inspect imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
    • Document equipment use, maintenance, and issues to support efficient operations.

We offer a competitive salary package based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week. Estimated annual salary: $93,000 - $115,000. This amount may vary depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
