We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team at Dialysis Clinic, Inc. as part of a patient care team in one of our in-center hemodialysis units.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and Maintain Dialysis Equipment: Ensure the dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies are properly prepared and meet quality standards.
- Perform Hemodialysis Treatments: Administer hemodialysis treatments to patients in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Provide Patient Education and Support: Offer ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching to patients and their families.
- Monitor Patient Health: Continuously monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physicians and families.
- Medication Administration: Administer and chart all prescribed medications as directed by physicians.
- Infection Control: Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews to ensure continuity of care.
- Document Patient Progress: Document required patient education efforts and progress.
- Facilitate Continuity of Care: Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals and healthcare providers.
- Lead a Patient Care Team: Lead a small patient care team and contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed.
- Paid Training: Receive paid 12-week training with a preceptor to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
