Explosive Operations Apprentice

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in loading and unloading explosives from transport vehicles.
• Pump water to clear blast holes as required.
• Transport stemming stone to fill blast holes and engage in various construction labor tasks.
• Participate in weekly safety meetings and familiarize yourself with safety protocols related to explosives and construction environments.
• Maintain physical fitness to meet the demands of a fast-paced work setting.
• Be prepared to travel and stay away from home when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Clean driving record (no more than three moving violations in the past three years).
• Clear background check (no felony convictions).
• Reliable transportation to the base shop.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Previous experience in construction labor is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work weekends as required.
