Job Title: Medical Screener

The Opportunity

As a Medical Screener at CSL Plasma, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors. You will be responsible for greeting donors, conducting registration procedures, and verifying donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, including assessing self-administered health history and answering basic medical questions.
  • Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
  • Conduct finger stick tests to obtain donor's hematocrit and total protein levels.
  • May educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma.
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Understand and follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens.
