About The Job

The GIANT Company is seeking a skilled Floral Associate to join our team. As a key member of our floral department, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and stocking items, making flower arrangements, helping customers, and wrapping plants and flowers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
  • Use a U-boat to transport inventory from receiving to the floral cooler.
  • Make flower arrangements, assist customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as needed.
  • Keep the department and cooler clean and organized.
  • Track and record loss to ensure accurate inventory management.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must complete the company introductory period of 60 days.
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
  • Must meet company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
  • Must agree to wear proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
  • Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training.
  • Must have keyboard skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Shift hours: 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual.
  • Lift/carry: 40 lb.
  • Stand: 55%, sit: 0%, walk: 45%.
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lb.
  • Max pull static: 20 lb.
