Residential Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Caregiver to join our team at Drake House in Monterey, CA. As a Residential Caregiver, you will provide care and supervision to residents, assist with daily living activities, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.

• Provide care and supervision to residents in a culturally competent manner
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, showering, hygiene, and grooming
• Provide necessary resident care and supervision as prescribed by doctors and other healthcare providers
• Safely assist residents with self-administration of prescription and non-prescription medications
• Assist with planning and implementing individual treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical and mental health status
• Assist in identifying and accessing community services for residents
• Track and schedule residents' annual dental and physician's exams
• Transport residents to appointments and outings

• High School diploma or GED
• One year of mental health experience may be required
• Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision of residents
• Knowledge of community services and resources
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, residents, and other stakeholders

The Residential Caregiver will work in a safe and supportive environment, with occasional exposure to hazardous and caustic household cleaning chemicals. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
