About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to perform preventive maintenance and repair of buildings, including installation of locks, hardware, and doors. The successful candidate will also construct and maintain all types of woodworks and structural framework according to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
